Post Road Library will open at 2:00 p.m. today due to water line repairs.
On Thursday, July 27, 2023, the groundbreaking ceremony for Denmark Library took place, and despite the hot weather, it was well-attended. Members of the Forsyth County delegation, local officials, dignitaries, and past employees, including former director John McDaniel, were all present.
The speakers at the ceremony included Library Board Chair Kristin Morrisey, Director Anna Lyle, Commissioners Todd Levent and Alfred John, State Librarian Julie Walker, State Representative Carter Barrett, and Senator Greg Dolezal. The speeches covered the project's history and highlighted the importance of Forsyth County Public Library to the community. Representative Barrett shared a touching story about his daughter's experience at Post Road during high school, where she attributed some of her success in becoming West Forsyth High School salutatorian to her daily study sessions there.
